It was an amazing experience to work with HK Gruber on the ensemble version of his most popular work, A pan-demonium for chansonnier and orchestra after children’s rhymes by H.C. Artmann, which he himself premiered with Sir Simon Rattle and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in 1978 and has received more than 600 performances since, by major orchestras and conductors around the world.

Tonight with the wonderful singers and musicians of MUK, we are going to perform this work at Musikverein, Gläserner Saal / Magna Auditorium at 8:00 pm.

The Ensemble version of this work was first performed in 1978 by the Vienna ensemble ‘die reihe’ under Kurt Schwertsik with HK Gruber as soloist.
Kurt Schwertsik will be also present at this concert as his work "Verwandlungsmusik, op. 42a aus „Das Märchen von Fanferlieschen Schönefüßchen” für Kammerorchester mit Klavier" will be performed.
